who we are

Observatorio Astronómico Los Molinos (OALM) is a complex of astronomical observatories managed by the Innovation, Science and Technology Office (DICyT) of the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC). The observatory is located northward in the Montevideo district/state near the neighbor city of Las Piedras.


We are an institution devoted to research, popularization and teaching of astronomy and general sciences. We work and collaborate with other academic and amateur institutions in order to promote the scientific development of the country.
